Into the Wilderness
Brockholes Nature Reserve, England
Brockholes Nature Reserve, England
The work focuses on how humans intervene with nature and shape it with romanticized ideals of how nature should look like. What people consider wilderness to be is an island completely untouched by humans. From the culturalist discourse of nature, this view represents a false hope of an escape from responsibility, so that we can wipe clean our wrongs and return to a previous pristine state.
