A play of the forest and wetland: Monster of the Amazon Rainforest
全球森林因過度開發及人為迫害，物種消失率持續攀升。
亞馬遜河為全球最大的河流，孕育無與倫比的生物多樣性，是世界最大及物種最多的熱帶雨林，因在全球氣候的世界碳循環過程中扮演著關鍵的角色，亦稱為「世界之肺」。
雨林若大規模消失，將會使得當地多樣性物種大量銳減，國際珍古德教育及保育協會理事長金恆鑣指出：「大滅絕的壓力在於它是加速度的惡化，像骨牌效應，愈來愈快。」，所有生物食物鏈構成食物網，當一個結點的生物消失，食物鏈就跟著斷了，便成為自生態系的崩解，進而造成全球性影響，而不單是森林遭破壞後對生物多樣性的損害，更憂慮到森林遭破壞後植物所釋出的碳元素可能會加速全球暖化。
正因為亞馬遜的生物多樣性和它在形成氣候的過程中所扮演極重要的角色，因此以亞馬遜雨林水壩計畫與過渡開發事件為主題：「亞馬遜雨林的怪獸」，帶出多樣物種大量銳減將會對全球帶來極大的迫害，此外亦會使得仰賴塔帕若斯河（Rio Tapajós）達數個世紀的原住民流離失所。
人須仰賴自然而共存，需要以凝結群眾的力量一起改善現有狀況，藉由美學宣導棲地保護及物種多樣性的重要性，喚起大眾的關注。
The worldwide forests have been damaged by over-exploitation and human activity. As a result, the species’ disappearance rate ascends dramatically.
Amazon River is the largest river which nurtures unparalleled biodiversity, and also the largest tropical rainforest with the most wildlife species in the world. It plays a critical role in the global carbon cycle, also known as "the lung of the world."
If the tropical forest disappears exceedingly, it will lead to a dramatic drop of local species. The chief director of the Jane Goodall Institute, Kim Hen-Biao said: “The pressure of global extinction lies in its accelerating deterioration, getting faster and faster just the same as the domino effect.” Every creature’s biological food chain constitutes a food web. When a node disappeared, it breaks the food chain, becomes a disintegration of the ecological system and causes a global effect. Furthermore, deforestation not only destroys biodiversity but also releases carbon dioxide, consequently, accelerates global warming.
Amazon with its biodiversity contributes considerably to the climate formation process. Together with the Amazon rainforest dam project and overdevelopment, the topic “The Beast of Amazon” presents the drastic fall of species, which will bring about a significant damage globally. In addition, it also depends on the aboriginal people displacing aside Tapajós River for centuries.
People must rely on nature and coexistence. The power of the masses needs to be condensed so as to improve the status quo altogether. Moreover, aesthetics promote to the public the importance of species diversity and environmental protection.
