The concept was inspired by the book concept, "In the Wilderness Alaska Alaska" by Jon Krakauer.
The author breaks out of his usual environment and travels to the unknown nature to break out of everyday life. He describes places that were important to him on the journey. He leaves the reader with coordinates to relive his journey.
The illustrations are intended to abstract the places and the emotional world that he has experienced.
They give the reader only a rough idea and leave enough room for interpretation.
By extending the pages and taking away the text, the reader is given time to linger in order to form their own image.
