The project starts from a reading book 'Ideology: An Introduction' by Terry Eagleton and I perceived 'Study Ideology', reminding me of the proverb 'All kinds of jobs are inferior, but to be a scholar is to be at the top of society' in my country, which I disagree with but most the elderly, including parents, still believe.
By this consciousness, I would like to find out other contradictory beliefs by interviewing people who have similar life experience in both the East and the West. I wonder how it influences on people’s beliefs.
Therefore, my graduated project is a discussion of eastern ideology, and it reflect my consistent design interest in audience interactions in my master degree. A street experiment shows in the end to know how functional the interactive way of tearing behavior is for understanding a level of disagreement, and figures out its problem for further improvement.
