Cogito Ergo Sum
 
René Descartes, the French thinker, came up with one of the most famous philosophical claims in history: “Cogito ergo sum,” or “I think, therefore I am.” In a thought experiment, he eliminated all beliefs that he could not prove 100% true—in the end he was left with only one truth, that because he is thinking it necessitates that he must exist.
