Dreidles
Acrylic and Ink on Canvas 54x54in
Dreidles is the first of my Holiday series. It was one of my first images and the first attempt at a large canvas. I love the repetitive imagery, repeating a single image over multiple colors.

Purim
Acrylic & Ink on Canvas 30x30
This is the second in my Jewish Holiday series.
I love the repetitive imagery, repeating a validation of single image over multiple colors. At the same time I wanted to mix it up a bit giving my own spin on the repeated image with the repeated Homintashen followed by a doughnut.
A fun twist on a Traditional Purim food.

Matzah (Round)
Acrylic and ink on canvas 30x30in
This is the third in my Jewish Holiday series.
I love the repetitive imagery, repeating a validation of single image over multiple colors. At the same time I wanted to mix it up a bit giving my own spin on the repeated image with the handmade round Matzah getting smaller until it ends up as a Matzah ball in soup.
A fun twist on a Traditional Passover food.

Matzah (Square)
Acrylic and ink on canvas 30x30in
I originally created this image with round handmade matzah , which I am used to.  However over time I received strange looks and blank stares… so in the name of inclusion I re-created this image with the more common square matzah
A fun twist on a Traditional Passover food.

Orange Socks
Acrylic and ink on canvas 10x30in
Somewhat of a self-portrait, Orange socks is about conforming and being an individual at the same time. Torah and Judaism give us guidelines to live a fulfilling life, at the same time Torah asks us to make it personal, to find ourselves and find our individuality in expressing our faith. One does not need dreadlocks or tattoos to express our individuality, for me orange socks works.

Ritual objects; Torah Study
Acrylic and ink on canvas 24x48in
The ritual objects series is an attempt to convey a fundamental Chassidic idea; that this world is here for us to bring to a higher plane of existence. A mitzvah – an act that connects us to G-D is not limited to the ‘ritual objects’ of the world, but rather everyday objects can be elevated when used of a G-Dly purpose.
We are the people of the book, today the form of the book may have changed, but the content and its lessons are eternal.

A zippo lighter is just as good for lighting Shabbat candles as your grandmother’s silver candle sticks, if not better. G-D and Mitzvot are as contemporary as a zippo lighter.
