STORY
In every nation with ancient culture, new generations will be inherited the linguist and visual system. Those symbols stand for the origin of a country, which becomes the main material source for modern art, music, fashion , architecture… and other application.
Vietnam also owned a great specific image source. However, Till today, not many individuals and organizations study and analyze this treasure in the right way.
From a designer aspect, I will recover those images starting with the beginning period of Vietnam . This piece of work can be last for a life time due to the immense source content.
Dong Son drum is a significant creation in the wealthy period of Ancient Cultivation Culture in Viet Nam .

CHIM LẠC
In the past, Chim Lạc ( a bird totem which was carved on the drum ) was a symbol of Au Lac country. Chim Lac is a figure of legends, symbolizing the Viet spirit and ancient culture.
In 4000 years, even where they stay, Vietnamese always remember their roots and origin. Hung King commemoration is celebrated every year, just a a natural compassion, love and the hope for country’s eternity. Chim Lac images is famous for its shape and the sacred meaning in the culture.
Vào thời xa xưa, chim Lạc được xem là biểu tượng của nước Âu Lạc ( Việt Nam), một loại chim trong truyền thuyết. Hình ảnh con chim Lạc cũng là biểu tượng tìm thấy trên mặt Trống Đồng. Chim lạc tượng trưng cho tinh thần và văn hóa thuần Việt.
Với truyền thống lịch sử bốn ngàn năm của dân tộc, người Việt dù ở phương trời nào, tuy có nhiều sự khác biệt về chính kiến nhưng đều chung một cội nguồn, một ngày Giổ Tổ, một tình cảm tự nhiên, một khát vọng bay lên như hình ảnh con chim Hồng, chim Lạc được trạm trổ trên bề mặt Trống Đồng thể hiện sự vĩnh hằng của dân tộc.
Trong kho tàng hoạ tiết vốn cổ, thì hình ảnh chim Lạc là một trong những hoạ tiết nổi tiếng mà bất cứ người dân nào khi nghe đến đều hình dung được hình ảnh của chúng. Nhưng cho đến ngày nay hình ảnh phục dựng về loài chim này chưa thực sự được chú trọng. Vì vậy, đứng ở góc độ của một người làm về thiết kế, tôi đã dành thời gian để tìm hiểu và phục chế lại hình ảnh chỉnh chu nhất có thể.
