Canopy Cabin

In a place of peace and quiet, an artist finds his refuge away from the pace of everyday life. The natural setting allows the artist to connect to his primal senses and to seek inspiration from the surroundings. The cabin imitates the vertical nature of the forest by using nine wooden columns as structural supports for three seperate cabins. The artist progresses upwards as he passes through each cabin, shifting between inside and outside which helps to stimulate the senses that are naturally active in the presence of the trees, plants and animals of the forest. The material choice of the cabins are also connected to the site - an all-wood construction creates a true experience of the organic and tactile nature of the site which adress the human senses.
