My first real foray into graphic design was creating fliers for hardcore shows in my hometown. I used a pirated version of PaintShop Pro. A friend of mine led an animal rights group at the time that put on shows to raise money, and I got to get into the shows for free.

I still remember how excited I was when PSP got layers! And then alpha channels!
