Fine detail is what we thrive on - perfecting every aspect of a full CGI project is what brings it fully to life.
Kristian Turner, CGI artist in our London office, has been working with Sebastian Zapata, who is launching a very high quality texture library called Friendly Shade. Sebastian was looking for production testing of texture maps and Kristian had the perfect project - developing and refining a new procedural tyre texture.

To really appreciate the quality of the displacement maps, here is the wireframe for you to compare to the occlusion.

For this first test using sidewalk cobbles, road surface and a painted road line, Kristian just added some fur to the moss between the stones.
