IDEA
Our inspiration for this project was a Lamborghini logo – specificaly bull. A form of the installations, designed by us, refers to bull fight and to their horns. They refer exactly to characteristics of these animals – dynamics, aggressiveness, speed but also – to their grandness. These features are also contained in most famous Lamborghini products – cars.
FORM
A form of a first installation shows a bull’s face-off – it is a symbol of fight and force. Shape is formed with variable planes and proportional, dynamic bevels which refer to aerodynamic shapes of Lamborghini cars. They were made in the majority of carbon fiber and composites – likewise Aventador, Gallardo or Murcielago. Whole object is light because of steel frame construction. Dark colour tones, like black and grey, add a piece of elegance and dynamics.
FUNCTION
Main assumption of the project is energy production, by using photovoltaic panels. This method fits the localisation – Sant’Agata’s climate ensures much sunny days during the year. Panels were mounted towards the sun path. Energy consumed during the day is re-used at night – it can be delivered to streetlights on a roundabout, to ensure safety, or to other infrastructure. The shape of panels refers straight to Aventador’s taillights. Installation also features LED technology lights, which ease a communication with surroundings, define a dynamic shape, and, it function as a light accent on a nightly landscape.
Both installations, with their simplicity, elegance and expressiveness, would fit a public space. They can become a new symbol of the city – just like bulls, which fought in Don Eduardo Miura’s farm, became a Ferrucio’s Lamborghini inspiration for a new logo.
