PERSONAE
Corpora et animae
Design for a set-up for Triennale of Milan for the exhibition of objects related to the medical field that received the Compasso d’Oro Award. The reasons for such recognition relate mainly to the relationship between design and psychology: these objects, in fact, are associated with a hospital environment that commonly generates anxiety in the individual; the design is intended to alleviate this sensation, encouraging greater tranquility in the user. This particular relationship between design and people was highlighted in the set-up: the visitor is accompanied in the discovery of objects, as the microscope and the magnetic resonance machine, which have allowed the study and analysis of the human body, from its composition to ergonomics. The exhibition path begins with a zoom-out from the cell to the person, understanding the operating principles of the different machinery and objects through the space organization.
The goal is to involve the user, immersed in a popular ambience to all of us, but that few people know very well; knowledge is what allows us to attenuate the feeling of fear we experience when we ignore what we are going to encounter, represented, in this case, by exposed objects.
