Miura is a coffee table that investigates on structure derived from a specific type of origami folding, and how that can is manipulated to push the boundaries of furniture making.
The concept was to design for a lifestyle with fluidity, to live with flexibility within their homes by creating light-weight furnitures with flat-pack ability. Easy to be put away and transported; Miura consist of a light frame(1.4kg) supporting an acrylic top (11.6kg).

The construction of the frame consist of maple wooden legs, connected by 3D printed joints in a formation extracted from the Miura origami folding. The structure was the important factor that allows even weight distribution. Offering not only stability, the "airy" aesthetics is designed with a sense of movement with changing perspective.
