For the Direct Marketing Association 2012 conference show, a pre-show postcard was designed to announce to show attendees the location for the American Name Services booth. After researching some old Las Vegas postcards from the 1940s and 1950s, the postcard design was created with a retro postcard design style in mind. The design took some modern elements, like the QR code and a URL notation, but incorporated distressed paper and edges as well as some retro-style fonts. The front also incorporated a photo of the Las Vegas Sign from Shutterstock.
