My goal for this project was to stay as impartial to other designer's work as possible. I felt if I browsed the internet for what people had previously done, my final work would  mimic another designer's work. Instead, I looked for inspiration through other means of design; minimalism, gothic, or every day objects such as ribbon or string. Researching the origin of "et" became insightful and one of my concepts was based entirely off of combining a lowercase "e" with a lowercase "t". 

Sketching out whatever obvious ideas came into my head was the first step. This process took several days and dozens of thumbnails before moving forward with refinement. 

Other methods of creativity and inspiration became helpful. This included experimentation with other mediums such as paint, pens and markers.
