The Total Solar Eclipse 08/21/2017 as seen in Wyoming near Riverton at the central Line, Hidden Valley Road. I used a small tracked mounting, containing a dslr with a Canon EOS 60d + 500mm-Maksutov Lens and instead of a counterwight, another Canon dslr fitted with Sigma Telephoto-Lens @200mm. The cameras were both released via the fantastic Promote Control HDR-Box. The box allowed me to preprogram a setting of unbelievable 248 images from Totality in sum, while I was able to study the scene in the sky with all senses without fingering any fancy, technical device. Without a doubt, the Promote-Control, is exactly what I was looking for. No need for a bulky laptop computer anymore! I got all exposure times between 1/4000s - 3.2s again and again, adapted to the time of Totality - it seems this box was created for me:).
Due my 5-day-short trip to the US me and my friends managed to capture just a glimpse of the beautiness of Utah and Wyoming. I could establish new friendships and met so unbelievable nice people at our observing place in the middle of nowhere, maby the greatest experiance of all after 11 solar eclipses I saw before. My full report with all impressions and lots of more images will soon come to an end, you will find it then as always here: www.kernschatten.info.
