12 Project is a low cost English school based in Kyiv, Ukraine. It's goal is to provide innovative education for affordable price. In order to get that done a new approach which consists of 12 tracks (sublevels) was developed. The course offers intense studying throughout 12 months. That's why it is called 12 Project.
The task was to create recognizable identity and illustration style for students who are mainly young people. That is why simple linear illustrations and bright yellow color were used. The design was adopted across various media such as a website, 12 course books, advertising campaigns and even offices.
Illustrations were chosen as an important element of the style. As 12 Project is a trendy and original school it was decided to make them not only stylish, but funny and questioning.
The school's innovative teaching method consists of 12 sublevels (12 tracks). So when designing I decided to use different color for each of them and same colors were applied to personal account on the website. Also I created worksheets and grammar notebooks.
To highlight the originality I've created a slogan – "Imagine school of English..." In advertising it was used as a beginning of the sentence which was followed by one of various endings: for 400UAH per month; in the city center; with adaptive schedule; with interactive teaching methods; which you operate using smartphone.
I came up with idea of educational rubric on Facebook and called it Rime Time. It is useful, because we tend to remember words better in collocations.
Two offices are also a very important part of a visual style. Each was designed to not only be a pleasant place to study, but to interact with students. There are huge illustrations on the wall so one can take funny photo.
