Highlighting / Empowerment of Dimensional Spaces
The concept of this project aims at highlighting the hidden/lost spaces within the Palumbo crane during the nighttime.
Such spaces within the structural framework, are lost during the daytime and can be regained with the use of creative lighting elements and effects. Such additions would give way to the creation of interesting geometric composition within the same dimensional perimeter of the crane structure.
The idea is to be carried out with the use of Richard Kelly’s three elemental kinds of lighting effects:
- focal glow / highlight;
- ambient luminescence/ graded washes;
- play of brilliants / sharp detail.
