Coffee Table Book for Yellow Train School
The project was conceived to share the story of the school with parents or anyone who is curious on what is going on in this first-of-a-kind farm school in Coimbatore. The idea was to use thought-provoking words (Type), images and color to reflect the ethos of the institution. Although a short read, it is not just a book to skim through, but one that touches your soul & kindles your thoughts.
Primary colors are chosen for three reasons: 1.Vibrance 2. Symbolism (BASE for the formation of other colors) 3. Visual anchor. Following the conversations with the founder, I set out to create a photography series to capture moments that reflect the intent. These photos subtly set the context while the words draw attention & provide meaning, thereby creating a cohesive message.
