All Wealth Comes From The Earth

'Visual Affirmations', 2017,  by Janna Dorothy & Renee Sills

These cards are part of an ongoing collaboration between myself and Renee Sills of Embodied Astrology.  Each card features astrology by Renee and hand made collages and graphic design by me, Janna Dorothy. 

In the winter of 2017 we began working together on art inspired by each new and full moon.  Renee provides insights into the astrology of the moons, to which I respond with a collage to be featured on her blog and podcast.  In May of 2017 we put together an art show entitled 'All Wealth Comes From The Earth: Visual Affirmations', to kick off Renee's artist in residence program at Matter gallery in Portland, Oregon.  The show featured Astrology by Renee, 12 original handmade collage pieces by me, and this series of Astrological Affirmation cards.

With the exception of the card for 'Taurus', each collage is made entirely by hand.  The original for Taurus is black and white.  We felt that color was necessary for such a luxurious sign, so I added some in Adobe Photoshop.
