Therachat aims to keep clients engaged in between therapy sessions by providing a seamless way to report emotions and much more to their therapist. Your therapist will be able to assign you custom activities relevant to your treatment and you'll be able to securely message your therapist in between sessions.

01
User Persona
Therachat's ideal users are people that want to improve his/her mental health. They are usually busy people that may not have a lot of time to meet a therapist or schedule a therapy session personally. The target users might be experiencing anxiety, so they need an accessible medium to control it.
02
Information Architecture
The type of content model used on Therachat is the Daisy model. The user will mainly do an activity and will be brought to home page after accomplishing the task. The content structure is sequential since the user has a liner path or step-by-step process to do an activity or journey.
03
Wireframes
The approach used on the initial layout is low-fidelity wireframes. The design prioritizes the structure of the content, which allows stakeholders to focus on the essential aspects during the presentation. It also highlights the layout and clarity of the path between screens.
04
User Interface Design
The proposed designs focused on the content and actions that the user needs to do. The UI components follow the latest iOS/Material UI guidelines, so it's easy to implement during the development stage. The colors used are based on the logo of the app, while additional colors are added to complement the primary branding. Icons used are bold and fun to represent an emotion.

Interaction Design
The main type of interaction design approach used for this app is Activity-Centered Design. It heavily focuses on the tasks and activities that the user needs to accomplish. The UI animation below shows how users may interact with the main pages, browse activities, and check their journey status.
06
Prototype
Below is the sample prototype showing the main screens and features of the app. You can navigate to home, library, journey page, and inner journey screen. Emotion Tracking and Letter to future self are activities that are available for testing.
