The Digital Camera

The Digital Camera
This web application was designed with photo science majors to teach people about the many parts that make a camera work.  You can click on the different parts to read a description of what each part does.  You can also isolate the lens or body if you aren't interested in the other.
This is the camera in the expanded view with the info hidden.  The camera always orbits the active object.  The spacing between objects is also adjustable.
The app comes bundled with two "special functions" that explain how some of the more complex components actually work.  This function shows how the camera shutter would look in real time or slow motion with any shutter speed under 1 second.
This special function shows how the aperture works.
