RE-BRANDING OF HAKO (meat and sausage producer)
HAKO is one of Albania's leading meat and sausage producers, with the capability to supply up to 10 tonnes of product per day.
The re-branding process started by reviewing the line of HAKO products current at that time, and analyzing them compared to their market competitors. A necessity of the new packaging is that customers can easily distinguish between what is and what is not of the HAKO range.
To distinguish the brand it was necessary to create elements that would be consistent across all of the packaging.
Those elements are:
~Logo positioning
~Informative text
~Name of the product
~Font
~Transparent packaging in the shape of the HAKO tree
The logo always features high on the packaging and connects the informative text with the name of the product. This is done to represent the company as a prominent figure in the realm of meat and sausage production.
In order to create a minimalist and simple design, all of the informative text is placed on the left hand side of the packaging. HAKO's philosophy is to be honest with their clients, so it is important that the ingredient list and expiration date are visible.
The name of the product is always displayed in the centre of the packaging and in the hierarchy of design elements it catches the attention of the customer first.
Futura is the official font of the company and therefore used throughout the entire re-branding process.
Following HAKO's philosophy of being honest with their customers, it was decided that no perfect images of sausages were to be used, doing so would unfairly represent the true state of the product. To display to the client the true product a transparent film in the shape of HAKO's tree was placed on the right hand side of the packaging.
The finished design is a minimalist, simple, honest and easy to distinguish product that showcases HAKO as one of the leading meat and sausage producers on the Albanian market.
