This was a phrase I came up with and wanted to do a little poster collection of it. Originally I played around with different styles and layouts as well as using a wide array of images from scars and wrinkles to dyed hair and piercings. Whilst each meet the phrase of using your body to share stories such as how a scar has meaning, Ultimately I thought tattoos and Dyed hair best tied in with the art theme whilst keeping to having a meaning and story behind it.
For the images I decided to use desaturated images on gray backgrounds as I thought it had the best effect and allowed you to see the text as well as make out the image without being too over crowded. The text itself is in an overlay so you can make out the image below as well as be able to read it, It is also in a gradient as I thought it added more depth and looked nicer because you could read the bottom bit in the dark clearer as well as opening the opportunity to create a series each with a different colour.
