Culture Starved is more than a magazine about talented young artists using varied mediums to discuss their identities. It is a community. A community for young artists, writers, film-makers, photographers, bloggers, musicians and media trend-setters. We discover the "IT" artists during their humble beginnings, as well as discuss the works of successful cutting edge artists.

My friend Sam and I created this platform in 2011 to showcase artists that were creating great work but hadn't been recognized in mainstream media. We were even able to feature the likes of Angela Simmons, Dante Basco, and Issa Rae. Culture Starved is dedicated to rising artists feeding the culture. While we are on a hiatus now, I am so proud of what we have been able to accomplish and I can't wait until we can return to the digital landscape :)
