TAIGA is a food festival and pop-up which takes place in Ghent, from 15 December until 30 December 2017. The organisation behind this project was looking for a refreshing and refined look that fits with the concept’s way of thinking.
The meaning of “taiga” can be explained as an official term for a pine tree forest. This type of forest consists of fine and long pine trees, which was an inducement to design the logo. Therefore an elegant typographic logo in upper case, with the refreshing and refined look in mind, was the best fitting option.
In the trend of the logotype, the TAIGA invitations/letters, menus and business cards are kipt simple by the use of a specific and simple grid with a determined consistency.
