ART WORK EXHIBITION

ART WORK  EXHIBITION

An exhibition of contemporary Ukrainian and Polish art “ART WORK” was opened in Mystetskyi Arsenal
on June 29 / 2017. This exhibition is a joint project of Mystetskyi Arsenal and the City Gallery in Wroclaw.
Curators: Ewa Sulek and Alisa Lozhkina.

The focus of the project is the work of artists and people involved in the art industry of Ukraine and Poland
and the ambiguous relationship of the artist and the art market. The second important emphasis is a change
in the traditional notion of work in society, the main challenge for which is the rapid reduction of jobs due
to the comprehensive automation and development of artificial intelligence.

The exhibition features works by 26 Polish and 34 Ukrainian artists: Sylwester Ambroziak, APL315,
Julia Beliaeva, Marcin Berdyszak, Svitlana Biedarieva, Andrij Bojarov, Michael Buksha, Uliana Bychenkova, Evgeniy Chernyshov, Bolesław Chromry, Julia Curyło, Tomasz Domański, Dmytro Erlikh, Michał Frydrych,

“I think that the exhibition concept is very interesting: What is the work today? Are we resting or working now? This is an issue that is now very acute in the artistic world. At the moment when we are reading, are we resting or working? If we came to the exhibition and did not get pleasure, it means that we come there to rest, or did we come there to work our feelings or our intellect? The exhibition is also about this“, – said Olesya Ostrovska-Luta.

The project is supported by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage of Poland.
