Working with some amazing people on this set! We (My trusty assistant Phil and I) had the opportunity to shoot in the gym with an amazing athlete.  Melissa, a pro women’s fitness Model, representing UFE & Team Walden Farms, works hard to get her body to an absolute pinnacle, we had an awesome opportunity to capture her, and create a different look. I wanted to really push the images into advertising direction, we started pre-production and stumbled across Courtney Généreux, a local stylist, she helped us really get the styling keyed in for this shoot. We wanted to have a dark and gritty yet still approachable direction, we knew we’d be working with muted tones. Courtney coordinated the styling with the light, she really helped round the images into what you see below.

A combination of different techniques were used here, since I had a team at my disposal we spent more time refining images on set, moving huge amounts of weights came into the capable hands of Phil, who also is a PT. Courtney was making sure the makeup remained natural looking, we wanted to balance between setup shots and relaxed.
