PASK WINERY – Rebrand
Pask Winery, the founders of the Gimblett Gravels wanted to evolve their brand so that it was a truer reflection of who they were and the wines they made. The design was inspired by Pask’s land & intimate knowledge of the Gimblett Gravels. The design had to be understated and elegant - a reflection of Kate Radburnd's wine making style by drawing inspiration from the layering of soil & gravel which makes this terroir so unique and what they regard to be the jewel in their crown.
The Pask portfolio consists of three product tiers – the core range known as ‘Gimblett Gravels’, a mid range ‘Small Batch’ which is more experimental & creative, allowing the winemakers to try out different techniques and blends as well as their premium offering ‘Declaration’ which is only made in very small amounts from vintages which are deemed to be their very best.
Pask’s brief to us was that they didn’t want stark white for the core and they wanted a unified design approach with a visual shift between the ranges but nothing overt or extreme – again coming back to their wine making philosophy of understated elegance.
The Pask crest is divided into four segments and represents the most important elements of the winery - P W which is their initials and their legacy. The stones of the Gimblett Gravels which they consider to be the jewel in their crown, since they are both the founding grower of the Gimblett Gravels and the only winery to solely produce all their wine from grapes grown in the Gimblett Gravels.
While the label designs appear to be understand, detailing is brought through with subtle textural embellishments.
