HDA Architects Brand Update

I wa commissioned to update a 20-year-old company logo. The client did not want a complete rebrand, but they did want to "spruce up" their existing logo.

I began by assessing the shapes in the logo and creating new, more solid-looking letter forms that were all of the correct measurements. I then studied the type used for "architects", and purchased a licensed type family that would allow consistency for the letters within the logo, but also throughout the firm. Next, I took inventory of the different shades of red that were currently being used and worked with the executives to choose a Pantone color.

I worked to create a clean, measured, and dependable mark that was reflective of the company's core values (accountability, integrity, impact, innovation, quality). I then continued designing stationery and other brand materials in that same manner. There is ample amounts of clean, white space, solid grids and structure, and quality materials throughout the HDA Architects brand.
