I created this project using Photoshop. The project was to create a self symmetrical portrait with 10 symbolic images and make them all symmetric.  In my symmetrical portrait, I included 10 images that have sentimental value to me. Images I added were pink balloons, the freedom Tower, a hand print with the color condition of the LGBT+Q flag, rain, lighting, a small roman column, horses, a choker, a red bow, and a latex bunny mask. This project will give you a truthful insight of who I am and what I stand for.
A few  image I added was two pink balloons that represent love and peace. If you look the pink balloons are tied down to a skyscraper,  the Freedom Tower. After 9/11, The World Trade Center was destroyed, the towers fell to rubble, life was lost, but there's was hope. In early 2006 the construction started on the Freedom  Tower and was completed in  2013. The tower represented that even in our darkest days there is still hope for peace & love in the world and we will prevail through the darkness. An image you notice is the handprint in next to the tower in the color coordination on the LGBT+Q flag.  I placed the handprint next to the tower which represents the Stonewall riots that were both located in New York. The Stonewall riots inspired local and national dialogue about gay civil rights and started the movement. These images all together help create  what is love and peace to me.

Other images you can also notice rain splatters as if against a window, to me what it means is another form of peace. On rainy day's, it's cloudy, cold and  you can hear the rain thump on the window. My bed is right next to my window and the rain drops help create a cold atmosphere that allows me to breathe in the cold air and feel present in the world. The rain drops also remind me of a song I love which is  " 4 page letter " by Aaliyah and creates this peaceful aura that takes me to our natural environment. In the very back of my image, you notice lighting. Lighting to me helps me create an outlet of how I feel, lighting is something you can admire and observe but at the same time can be dangerous. In other words, I may seem nice and I am truly  but if you cross paths with me I will make it known I don't like it . These images help show thats I'm introvert at times and when I want to be left alone it's because I'm trying to find peace in my current environment.

At the  very top center of my image, you see two objects which are a small column  and a horse. The Column  represents my fascination for accent Roman time, which is one of the very first civilizations in human history. The horses go way back for me. When I was younger I had an obsession with horses ever since I saw the movie Spirit. The movie created a new world for me that was surreal. It was one of my very first exposure to American history. In the movie, it exposed how industrial America treated native American. They destroyed their villages and didn't have respect for their spiritual beliefs. Spirit ( the Horse ) was the unlikely hero and in the end was seen as a hero. Horses to me represent a real hero that is willing to give up what they have for others.

Now, my main image of me you can notice on my neck I'm wearing a choker and I wear one to challenge gender norms because usually, it's the girl who wears accessories like a choker. Chokers also go back to tribal history that represents spiritual and moral meaning that create sentimental value.  On the center of my head, you can notice a big red bow. The bow stands for a surprise, you never know whats inside the box until you open it. In other words, you don't  know me until I'm open. Now the most obvious image you can notice is the latex bunny mask. Where the bunny mask comes is the Dangerous Woman Album by Ariana Grande. Her album has a Powerful entity that helped me be who I am. I won't go into detail on why it's important because I still want to preserve it to myself at the moment.  Out of all the images the most symbolic image to me is the shadow of the horse.

Overall, when people look at my project  they will be gravitated to who I am as a person and what I have to offer to the world. All ten images create a symbol of who I am and created the foundation of my beliefs.
