D&AD competition, Squarespace: pro - folio

Design concept for a D&AD competition for the online website hosting service; Squarespace. This is my submission for the brief I chose for the competition (shown below from my process book excerpt). I wanted to create a website template which offered a service a step further than just an online site. Being a fan of printed media and creating something for people to hold I decide it might not be such a bad idea to merge having an online portfolio with the privilege of actually handing someone your work in person.

I chose to create this as a template with an add-on widget, so that the company Squarespace may choose to use this as an added platform for their users. I understand that the idea of having an online portfolio does attribute to the notion of going paperless, however I believe there is a happy medium between using too much paper and using a small amount for the best reasons. Using this widget, a Squarespace user may choose to adapt and automatically turn their online portfolio into a ready to print format, and a step further, actually have it printed for them to take to that all important job interview no matter what that may be.
Here is an example view of my template used in a browser, with a simple design, I wanted to the user of the website to feel like they could always have the control to move around the site without the feeling of getting lost, which is why i wanted the menu drop box to stay noticeable in the top right corner.
Below is my pro-folio presentation page, in the format of a webpage.
