The GIF Freedom website features an infinite gallery of GIF animations by visitors who were able to record them via webcam utilizing WebRTC.

The grid required a custom Canvas-based rendering engine. By decoding the video fragments to JPEGs and draw all animations which are visible on the screen simultaneously we were able to display hundreds of GIFs at 60fps, even on smartphones.
