Yarn Works is a hip, adaptive reuse project in Fitchburg, Massachusetts. What was once home to the Fitchburg Yarn Mill is now a fashionable, affordable loft living space. The building featured a storied history and a catchy name and needed a brand image that would nod to the building’s past while also connecting with potential modern residents. In its prime, Fitchburg was a thriving mill town that has diminished in recent years and is struggling to maintain buildings and residents. These new apartment homes add value to the surrounding area and will benefit not only the future residents but also the community as a whole. Yarn Works needed a logo, tagline and brand identity to introduce the new apartment homes to the community.
I worked on this project and others during my time at Rhyme & Reason Design. Check out the rest of the case study on their site.
