Editorial Design // NASCAR

This is a handful of the editorial work I created Sept. 2011 - Dec. 2012, for NASCAR. These spreads were featured in NASCAR souvenir magazines, published nationwide and sold at ISC (International Speed Corporation) tracks. The books feature track relevant articles, infographics, team and driver biographies, and follow the current point standings in NASCAR Series.
These full page driver profiles were designed for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series section, and follow the 2012 Race for the Chase Sprint Cup Series. They feature the top 12 drivers in the point standings; those who are eligible to take the championship.
This Infographic was featured in the Homestead-Miami Speedway track book, 2012, and compares the achievements of the Roush Fenway team to the 'lack of achievements' of Hendrick Motorsports at HMS, though their overall achievements in the racing circuit are very comparable. I wanted to make this graphic fun rather than die-hard competitive, drawing the eye downward through the statistics.
The following is a 6-pg timeline I designed in honor of Martinsville Speedway's 65th anniversary. The timeline follows the track's history through its origin to the present day. I wanted to make the timeline track specific, while honoring the historical aspect, so I chose to incorporate several vintage photographs and pops of MVS red into the geometric layout.
These following spreads were featured in the Kansas Speedway track book, 2012.
Spreads featured in the Talladega SuperSpeedway track book, 2012.
This spread was featured in the AutoClub Speedway INDYcar IZOD track book, 2012, and traces the history of INDYCar at the track, and its long awaited return.
Spreads featured in the Michigan International Speedway track book, 2012.
