take care of yourself.

I was conditioned to think that anxiety meant weakness. When we go to therapists or try find help to cope, we are, for the most part, told to find ways to cope and calm ourselves when we become desperate. Watching the colors flash through this simple phrase when I'm anxious makes me feel calm - it forces me to slow down, find that one deep breath and take back control.

When you finally take the time to tap into it, to come to terms with anxiety and tackle it head on, you find the word, phrase, or thing that makes you feel safe again. Working on this piece was my way of tackling it head on, I was able to channel my anxiety into something positive while doing what I love.
