مدرسة الدرب الأحمر للفنون في مشروع العرض الطائر وذلك في الفترة بين أغسطس وديسمبر 2017.
يطير فيه ٣٢ طالب وطالبة من أقسام المدرسة المختلفة متنقلين بين الانشطة، فيبدأ 12 طالب من الاقسام المختلفة زيارتهم إلى لبنان لقضاء مخيم صيفي فني تدريبي يلتقون فيه بفنانين دوليين ومحليين يقدمون ناتج هذا العمل في مهرجان نحن والقمر والجيران للفنون الادائية، ويعود الموسيقيون منهم لينضموا إلى زملائهم في مصر ليشاركوا في ورشة موسيقية تحمل موسيقاهم وآذانهم إلى توزيع موسيقي مختلف وشكل جديد، فسيقدم 16 عازف وعازفة من الطلاب في شهر سبتمبر عرضهم الموسيقي على مسرح الجنينة، يليه تدريب مكثف لعدد 16 طالبة من الاقسام المختلفة ليقدموا عرض نون الطائرة وذلك في شهر أكتوبر، وسيحل في نهاية المشروع ورشة مكثفة للعرائس يقدم في نهايتها عرضاً للعرائس الطائرة. يتم العرض الطائر بالتعاون مع سفارة سويسرا بالقاهرة.
مدرسة الدرب الأحمر للفنون بدأت في نهاية ٢٠١١ بالتعاون مع مبادرة أغا خان للموسيقى، وتنقسم إلى قسمين الفنون الأدائية الذي يضم فنون السيرك والرقص والتمثيل والموسيقى الذي يضم: الإيقاع والآلات النفخية والأكورديون. خرجت المدرسة ٤٢ طالب و طالبة حتى الآن، وقدمت عدداً من العروض الاحترافية: دربكة 2014 وتاهت ولقيناها 2014 وبالالايكا 2015 وزمبلك 2016
El Genaina for Arts and Culture Presents:
Al Darb Al Ahmar School in Flying Kids Project August through December, 2017
32 students from Al Darb Al Ahmar Arts School (DAAS) will be on the move between various destinations to take part in a number of activities planned for the period between August and December this year. First, 12 students will travel to Lebanon to take part in a summer camp of arts training where they will meet and work with Arab and international artists and performers. The outcome will be showcased in “Nehna wel Amar wel Jiran” festival for performing arts. Upon return to Egypt, the musicians will join their colleagues in a workshop to broaden their horizons in musical form and composition. Then, 16 students from music section will give performance on the stage of El Genaina Theatre. Afterwards, 16 Female students from different departments will present a collective performance called “The Flying Noon Show”. Finally, an intensive puppetry workshop will take place, concluding with the “Flying Puppet Factory”. Flying Kids is made in collaboration with the Swiss Embassy in Cairo.
DAAS is a program of artistic instruction that targets young people between the ages of eight to 18 in Cairo’s Darb Al Ahmar district. The school was launched in 2011 in partnership with Aga Khan Music Initiative. DAAS has two departments, one for performance arts (circus arts, dance and acting), the other for music (percussion, wind instruments and accordion). DAAS boasts 42 graduates who have completed their studies across its years of operation. The school has created several professional shows: Darbaka 2014, Lost & Found 2014, Balalika 2015 and Zambalek 2016.
