FINNMARK (70°N / 25°E) vol 1
Arctic Northern Norway
Finnmark is a county located in the extreme northern region of Norway. Here approximately 75 thousand of Norway's 5.2 million inhabitants live on roughly 79 km2 of the nations 324 km2 area. This makes it the biggest, yet least populated county in Norway. Finnmark is actually bigger than Switzerland. Its landscape varies widely from lush and green, where the great Taiga reaches into it, to Finnmarksvidda: a huge inland plateau, dense with rivers and lakes, and on to barren coastlines scattered with reindeer. It is massive, wild and utterly breath taking.
