Frans Hals Kuit Beer

Frans Hals
was a Dutch Golden Age portrait painter who lived and worked in Haarlem.
He is notable for his loose painterly brushwork, and he helped introduce
this lively style of painting into Dutch art.
His most famous portrait is on the old Dutch ten Gulden bill. The sight of this bill still fills the typical Dutchie with feelings of nostalgia and regret. The first sketches of the beer label were based on the same portrait, the design of the 10 Gulden bill was based on.
