OVERVIEW
Inspiration for application:
Following the tragic events of Wednesday 10th February 2016 (Death of Asami Nagaakiya), members of Route Creations held the opinion that there was a great need for the government of Trinidad and Tobago to better protect and secure our foreign visitors. This was not the first time that out country had experienced such a shameful and disheartening event. Fearing the possibility of reoccurring events and a lowered visitation status for Trinidad and Tobago, Route creation aimed to aid the government in identifying a possible solution.

The Application:
Route Creations’ proposed solution to better protect foreign visitors is the ‘Ibis Application.’ Generally, through the Ibis Application, users were able to access safe accommodation, transportation, and local site information. In providing these three major services, the possibility of harm or exploitation of foreign visitors is lowered. All information provided by the application is supplied and maintained by a local governmental board to ensure validity. The application also allows for optional use of ‘location’ to allow heightened convenience and safety whilst traveling around Trinidad and Tobago.
