GRAPHIC DESIGN // PRINT DESIGN // WEB DESIGN // VIDEO DESIGN

STUDiO is Victoria University of Wellington's representative group for it's Architecture & Design School. For three years between 2014 - 2017, I have assisted the organisation as Project Manager/ Secretary (2014-2017) and later as a designer (2017). These roles have allowed me to gain experience within graphic design and business.

Here are some of the projects I worked on while assisting with STUDiO:

STUDiO Social Media & Rebranding
Design Time: July 2016 (1 Week)

Over the last few years I've been a part of STUDiO, the organisation's brand has not been very clear. This could be seen through our unclear branding on our social media pages. At the start of 2017, I took to clarify our brand and to polish our social media appearance.

ORIGINAL BRANDING (2015 - 2016)

In the previous two years, the organisation's branding was designed by the president of each year (both architect students). I felt that in previous years, STUDiO's brand felt weak, unrememberable and lacked impact.

REDESIGNED BRANDING (2017)

When redesigning our social media branding, I thought it would be best to take our brand back to it's original roots (2015). While STUDiO's original logo used a much thinner font, I found that a bolder font gave the logo a more powerful presence both on white or orange background.

As the header banners often stayed the same throughout the year, I wanted to create a series of banners which were interchangeable, but kept the same theme and colour scheme. This would allow us to keep the page exciting while reflecting events throughout the school year (e.g the School of Architecture & Design Annual Ball and Graduation). I chose to use the image of the building entrance (above) as the first banner to highlight the newest renovation to the Te Aro Campus.

Social Media Content
To keep users engaged and active to our social media accounts, I've designed a range of visual content that is posted on a regular basis. We want architecture and design students of the university to feel our organisation's presence both online and in person.

Through creating an appealing online image, we want STUDiO to become an approachable organisation to our target audience. Especially since STUDiO is reaching out to new students at the start of each year, using graphic posts are more attractive to users and will be more inclined to like the content/ page.

Admin Documentation Design
As the role of STUDiO's secretary, I am responsible for maintaining all documentation within the organisation and communication between members, school and staff. I designed layouts for our official documentation, project/ event proposals and meeting minutes to keep consistency.

STUDiO Website Design
STUDiO needed a website where current, former and potential students and staff could visit, to learn about the organisation, view past and upcoming events and act as a general hub for Architecture & Design students.

This website is currently under development.

Executive Team T-Shirt Designs
As STUDiO has several events for students throughout the year, I designed T-Shirts that STUDiO's Executive team members would wear to these events.

Faculty T-Shirt and Hoodie Designs
After seeing that the students from Schools of Engineering and Computer Science had hoodies and t-shirts representing their faculty, students from the School of Architecture and Design talked to us about getting our own. Here are some of the concepts I created when thinking about making our own shirts.

Bahaus Winter Ball 2016 Promo
For this project, I was required to film and edit a short video for STUDiO's annual Winter ball. The video was required to be less than 1-minute and needed to showcase the venue. Shooting the video was quite challenging as the venue would not be set up for another month.
