Peace is the quiet and balanced tension between competing forces. This bridge concept, dedicated to the soldiers of WWII and spanning across the Potomac River, has three walls on each end. The walls tower high, shielding those walking across it from the surrounding environment, as well as from those walking on the other side of the wall. They gradually lower to reveal the people walking alongside the entire time, and opens up to a spacious, grassy park that represents the point of clarity and understanding.
