Graphene for sale – How to invest in graphene?

First, you must decide if graphene for sale is for you. Graphene investment is not so easy because graphene is a relatively new material and therefore the market for it has not been fully developed yet. Also it is not as straightforward as buying and selling shares, or items like gold or diamonds. However, this problem can be overcome by investing in companies performing research and development on graphene, or companies in the manufacturing chain. Once you have decided that investing in graphene is what you want to do, continue reading this article. This article will discuss the different ways that you, either as an individual or a company, can invest in graphene and grapheme related materials and technologies.

Graphite mines
Investing in graphite mines could be a good way of investing into graphene, because after all, without graphite you cannot have graphene. Also the security in this is if the graphene market never takes off, graphite will still have its many uses and applications. An example of graphite’s many uses is Li-Ion batteries; you need 40 times more graphite than lithium to produce a single Li-Ion battery. If graphene does manage to find its way into consumer devices, it will be a massive advantage for investors since graphite prices have almost tripled since 2005, and the US and EU already sees the supply of graphite as being critical.

As of today, the largest producers and exporters of graphite are China, Brazil, India, North Korea and Canada. Investing in stocks from graphite mining companies could be a profitable way of investing in graphene. Even though there is always and element of unpredictability and risk in the stock market, investing in these stocks could turn out very profitable since some of these project have only been running for a couple of years and the results so far have been positive. Investing in graphene stocks indirectly by investing in graphite mining companies could reap large benefits, but you always have to consider that the stock market is never risk-free.

Graphene for sale - CVD equipment
The next step after the graphite ores have been dug up from the ground is that they have to undergo a series of steps before it becomes graphene. One of these steps is the Chemical Vapor Deposition method, or CVD, which is used to coat a certain material with a thin layer of another material. In this case, the CVD method is used to coat a single layer of carbon atoms, otherwise known as graphene, onto a substrate like copper. The good things about CVD equipment is that they are not only limited to graphene but are also used in other aspects in the electronics industry. For example, the CVD equipment is also used during the standard manufacturing process of silicon. Many processes rely on this equipment and therefore it will stay relevant at least for the next 15-20 years due to the precision it uses to coat solids with exact amount of other materials.

Clean rooms
Graphene is only a single layer of carbon atoms; therefore, you can just imagine how massive a small speck of dust would be in comparison. Because of this, many sensitive processes need to be done in a clean room so that the number of particles in the air that could contaminate the work piece is kept at a minimum, or better, completely avoided. Some clean rooms are small, but others can be quite big, covering hundreds of square meters of factory flooring. Clean rooms are essential for the manufacturing of integrated circuits, but they also have a wide variety of other uses. Investing in companies that manufacture these clean rooms could be another way of indirectly investing in graphene.

Only a handful of companies around the world manufacture and sell graphene and graphene-related products. You can check each company individually to see if they have any stocks for sale.

Overall, even though graphene is still quite relatively new to the industry, its potential uses and benefits are endless, with the future looking very bright. Investing in graphene, whether it’s by investing in graphite mines, CVD equipment, clean rooms or manufacturers, still has its element of uncertainty. However, in my opinion, with all the funding and research and development currently taking place, it is only a matter of time before the mass production of graphene is discovered.
