The Big Book of Tea-Time Snacks

I designed this cookbook as a part of an assignment at Seagull School of Publishing. The brief given to us was to create a square sized cookbook choosing any kind of recipes. We had to make the book beautiful and at the same time make sure the text was easily readable if someone chose to use it while cooking. I chose tea-time snacks from Calcutta which are very popular with the locals and tourists alike. Hence, I have used a motif of the Howrah Bridge which is a landmark of this city and the Indian old-school tea pot to give it a tea time feel. The small 'bhaad' or earthen pot of chai (tea) also pops up to convey the same. The typography is done keeping in mind ease of reading while cooking. Hence, sizes are somewhat larger than usual.
