SimCity is a classic city-building video game series, with the first game in the series published in 1989. As SimCity started to move to mobile SimCity BuildIt was developed as the mobile version of the game.

The logo is a development on previous incarnations of the SimCity logo. As the game graphics developed the previous logo had started to look dated and needed an overhaul to bring it into line with the cutting edge graphics of the in-game experience. We stripped down the logo to a simpler and clearer form that fits the modern version of the game it represents.
