Amphitheatrum Caesareum and Ludus Magnus, 130 A.D.

Amphitheatrum Caesareum and Ludus Magnus, 130 A.D. | Ideal reconstruction of the amphitheater of the Cesars and Ludus Magnus at the beginning of the 2nd century. In the cross-section we can see the foundations of the amphitheater and the arena substructures, in whose underground galleries were located the ramps and hoists that allowed gladiators and beasts to access the surface. The Ludus Magnus was also connected by subterranean galleries with these basements. Made for the historical magazine Arqueología e Historia DespertaFerro nº 14 "Gladiadores".
