Miami Horror - The Shapes Mural& Art Car

In 2017, Australian band Miami Horror approached me to collaborate on several projects to celebrate the launch of their EP 'The Shapes'. Rather than go the traditional route of producing a music video for the EP, the band worked with artists to produce public artworks that celebrated the coming together of Art and Music.

For my collaboration I worked with the band to produce an Art Car based around my artwork that could be driven around to gigs and used to promote the EP.

The second part of the project was to a large mural painted in the Peel Street park in Collingwood. The mural design I created celebrates and is inspired by the nightlife in the area, in particular the role it has played in the LGBTQI+ community over the last 30 years. Entitled ' Dance your own dance' the piece was created to inspire everyone to be who they are and feel free to express themselves.

Thanks to Yan, Jade, Yarra City Council, Taubmans Paint, and the members of Miami Horror for their support in putting together this project.
