South Africa’s second most populated urban area is a port-city on the southwest coast known as Cape Town. Cape Town is a popular destination among global travelers because there are many historic and cultural sights to see. Here are three must-see attractions in Cape Town:

1. Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens are nestled along Table Mountain and are home to more than 7,000 species of plants from across southern Africa. Visitors are not only able to walk through the gardens, but also enjoy a picnic on the grounds.

2. Groot Constantia is the oldest wine farm on the continent. The property hosts wine tastings daily as well as a cellar tours. These guided tours take guests through a modern day cellar before a brief wine tasting and presentation. The property also boasts a museum and two restaurants.

3. Table Mountain National Park allows you to explore Table Mountain, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World, via hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, and more. Other sites within the park include Cape of Good Hope where visitors are likely to encounter zebra, eland, and bontebok, as well as Boulders Penguin Colony, home to the endangered African Penguin.
