'Lines of Liège'

The Liège-Guillemins railway station is the main station of the city Liège in Belgium. The station is used by 15.000 people every day and is designed by architect Santiago Calatrava. It was officially opened on 18 September 2009. The station links two areas of the city previously devided by railway tracks. The steel and concrete structures are fluid, rhythmic and their forms are particularly expressive. This monumental work of architecture has no façade in the traditional sense but instead blurs the boundaries between interior and exterior.
