This is the second work from a triptych made to order, which should be a gift to a devilishly talented Russian poet from St. Petersburg, Alexei Francesca. The triptych focuses on being and nature of three Greek gods, whose essence is reflected in Francesca most vividly and uniquely - Dionysus, Eros and Hermes. Francesca, with his whole being, relies on mud, and in this he is right in his own way, therefore all the deities of this triptych are elevated to the degree of modern thrash. The gods in these works appear as a tired jury of the shaky and dubious beauty of the world of people. At this work - Eros. I originally conceived it as a blind old man sitting in a hospital dressing gown and a blindfold in the midst of a gloomy forest with no branches, which serves as the basis for the targets - hearts in which he can not get out of his bow, because he is old for this world . But later his image grew into a weeping boy of about 10 years, but also blindfolded. And only at the very end I realized that the boy was not sitting with a bandage in his eyes. It wears VR-glasses, and in the hands of the controllers. This solution seemed the most harmonious to me at the moment when I realized that the Eros arrows never had a real embodiment, they are just a metaphor for mechanics, an allegory of the moment of falling in love. Therefore, in this work, we see Eros inside the training of virtual reality, where he himself, not understanding why, can not fall into any of the hearts.
